You've turned a past injustice into a cottage race industry upon which you live like a parasite. And your attempts to tether that past injustice to those of us who today fight for the freedom and autonomy of the individual to resist the oppression of the state suggests that it is you, sir, who today carries the fire hoses and have shown yourself willing, time and again, to release the dogs against those who oppose your designs on their liberty. No, "slavery" was when John Lewis crushed the rights of Sovereign Citizens to control their own states and buses and lunch counters, by forcing them to enter into contracts with and serve negroes. Why did John Lewis insist on enslaving all those lunchcounter owners who were just minding their own business beating up negroes like John Lewis? Why did John Lewis turn his fire-hose on them, by making them serve grilled cheese sandwiches equally to patrons without regard to race or creed?Of course, Jeff Goldstein is a blogger and "sometime fiction writer," which on its face means he has done more for civil rights than having been a freedom rider, and also being jailed and beaten for being a freedom rider, and then getting elected to Congress.
