Crews extinguish oil change business fire

Boise firefighters were able to extinguish a fire in a 55-gallon drum of methanol Tuesday morning.Emergency crews called to an oil change business on the 8400 block of West Overland Road about 8:52 a.m. When they arrived,China Tank truck hoses manufacturers, they evacuated the three employees working at the business.

Firefighters got the flames doused before they could spread, according to Boise Fire Department spokesman Charles McClure. China Accessories manufacturers,No damage was done to the oil change business where the drum was stored in the "pit" area -- the area beneath vehicles where employees work to change oil, he said.

Flames were confined to the drum of liquid methanol. Firefighters used an extinguisher to put out the fire. Hose lines were laid out as back up but were not needed, McClure added.No damage was done to the structure. Fire crews were cleaning up and clearing the area by 9:25 a.m.McClure said there was no impact to traffic on Overland Road, nor to any nearby businesses.
